Hollywood Snub: Shannon Elizabeth Left Out of Scary Movie 6 Cast -

Actress Shannon Elizabeth has confirmed that she will not be returning for the upcoming horror-comedy sequel Scary Movie 6, despite initially hoping to reprise her role in the popular franchise.

The 52-year-old actress, who played Buffy Gilmore in the original 2000 film Scary Movie, revealed in an interview that she was not contacted to appear in the new instalment of the parody series.

Elizabeth said she had expected to receive a call about a possible return but ultimately “didn’t get the call.” Nevertheless, she expressed excitement about watching the film and seeing some of the original cast members reunite on screen.

The actress also reflected on the lasting popularity of her character, noting that many fans still remember the comedic pageant scene that became one of the memorable moments from the original film.

Scary Movie 6 is scheduled for release on June 5 and will feature returning franchise stars including Regina Hall and Anna Faris. The film will also bring back creators the Wayans brothers and is expected to parody several modern horror titles such as M3GAN and Terrifier.

The Scary Movie franchise, which began in 2000, became one of Hollywood’s most successful parody film series, known for spoofing major horror hits and pop-culture moments.
