Reps Member Osawaru Mourns Late Edo Doctor, APC Stalwart

A member of the House of Representatives Nigeria, Billy Famous Adesuwa Osawaru, has expressed condolences to the family of Nosa Ekunwe following the doctor’s death, describing him as a committed medical professional and respected political figure in Edo State.

In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, Osawaru, who represents Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, said the late Ekunwe’s contributions to healthcare delivery and party development would remain memorable to the people of the constituency and members of the All Progressives Congress.

The lawmaker also extended his sympathies to the management and staff of Suyi Hospital, where the deceased served as Chief Medical Director, as well as members of the APC family in Uhunmwode.

He described the late doctor as “a very cerebral medical professional whose impact in the field of medicine is unparalleled,” adding that Ekunwe also played a stabilising role in strengthening intra-party harmony and promoting progressive ideals within the party structure.

Osawaru further noted that beyond his professional accomplishments, the deceased was widely regarded for his humility, calm disposition and generosity, stressing that his death represented a personal loss to him and many others who benefited from his counsel over the years.

While praying for the repose of his soul, the lawmaker urged the immediate and extended family members, associates and political colleagues of the deceased to take solace in what he described as a life of impact and enduring legacy.

He also prayed that God would grant them the strength to bear the loss.

The late Ekunwe was widely known in the constituency for his roles in medical service and grassroots political engagement within the APC.
