Osawaru Urges Muslims to Embrace Sacrifice, Compassion at Eid-el-Kabir
Member representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Billy Famous Adesuwa Osawaru, has felicitated with Muslims in Edo State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to uphold the values of sacrifice, compassion and unity associated with the celebration.
In a Sallah message issued on Wednesday, the lawmaker described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred festival that offers an opportunity for reflection, gratitude and strengthening family and communal bonds.
Osawaru noted that the celebration commemorates the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, stressing that the occasion serves as a reminder of the virtues of faith, selflessness and trust in God.
According to him, the essence of the festival goes beyond the act of sacrifice, as it also promotes generosity, love and care for the less privileged in society.
“As we gather with our loved ones to partake in prayers, share festive meals, and celebrate our blessings, let us also remember those less fortunate,” he said.
