Dr. Billy Famous Osawaru, the Member of the House of Representatives for Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, on Friday joined top leaders and delegates at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention held at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Osawaru’s presence was highly visible as he moved through the convention grounds, engaging in crucial discussions with various stakeholders and key figures within the party, including the high-profile delegation from Edo State.

The convention, held under the theme of party unity and progress, solidified strategies and leadership, moving the party forward under the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda.

The convention’s central highlight was the formal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.

Party stakeholders from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, including 22 APC governors and the national working committee, unanimously backed Tinubu’s re-election bid, as announced by National Chairman Yilwatda Goshwe.

While the move was hailed by party stalwarts as a sign of continuity and internal stability, it also sparked a debate among political analysts regarding internal democracy.

As the convention successfully concluded, Hon. Osawaru’s active participation and interactions with the upper echelon of the party were seen as pivotal, reinforcing his status as a key mobilizer and a strong advocate for development.
